Manor House Lindley – Terms & Conditions

1. Reservations & Payments

1.1 Rates & Taxes

  • All rates are quoted in GBP and include VAT at the prevailing rate.
  • Rates are subject to availability and may change without prior notice.
  • Quoted rates are confirmed at the time of booking and are not guaranteed until a deposit is received.​

1.2 Deposits & Prepayments

  • A deposit may be required to secure your booking; the amount will be specified during the reservation process.
  • Failure to pay the deposit within 14 days may result in cancellation of the reservation.
  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated.​

1.3 Payment Methods

  • We accept cash, BACS, and major credit/debit cards.
  • We do not accept payments by Cheque.
  • Any outstanding payment is due upon check-out/departure unless prior arrangements have been made.​

2. Cancellations & Amendments

2.1 Guest Cancellations

  • Cancellations must be made in writing and signed by all major parties involved in the booking.
  • Deposits are forfeited upon cancellation.
  • Clients remain liable for any deposits due at the time of cancellation as per their contract.​

2.2 Hotel Cancellations

Manor House Lindley reserves the right to cancel bookings without liability if:

  • The client fails to pay deposits as they fall due.
  • Any part of the hotel is closed or unable to operate due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • The client or their guests engage in discriminatory, abusive, violent, or insulting behavior towards staff.​

2.3 Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural disasters, fire, government decrees, or utility disruptions.​

3. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-In: From 3:00 PM
  • Check-Out: By 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.​

4. Guest Conduct & House Rules

  • We reserve the right to judge acceptable levels of noise and behavior.
  • Guests must adhere to requests from management regarding conduct.
  • Failure to comply may result in termination of the booking without refund.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the building; designated smoking areas are available outside.
  • Guests caught smoking in non-designated areas will be fined £300 and may be asked to leave.​

5. Liability & Loss

  • Manor House Lindley is not responsible for loss or damage to guest property, except as provided under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956.
  • We do not accept responsibility for damage to or theft from vehicles parked on the premises.
  • Guests are advised to secure appropriate insurance for their belongings.​

6. Special Requests & Accessibility

  • We strive to accommodate special requests; however, all requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Please inform us of any accessibility requirements at the time of booking.​

7. Pet Policy

  • Pets may stay in The Apartment only, but must not be left unattended.
  • Pets are permitted in our outdoor spaces with the exception of The Roof Garden. but must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • Pets are not permitted within the hotel and its public areas, with the exception of assistance dogs.​

8. Use of Facilities

  • Guests must comply with all regulations concerning fire, health, and safety.
  • Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
  • There is a no Under 12s policy in both the Clock Tower Bar & Lounge and The Lantern Room.
  • External food and beverages are not permitted without prior written consent.
  • Outside catering is not allowed; all food must be supplied and prepared by Manor House Lindley.​

9. Safety

  • Guests using the facilities of Manor House Lindley must comply with all the regulations concerning fire, health & safety policy.
  • In accordance with Fire Regulations, the guest numbers must not exceed the maximum capacity of the agreed layout of the event room or hotel bedrooms.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We are committed to protecting your privacy.
  • Personal information is collected and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
